New 3-Story Dining Destination on Corpus Christi Beach

October 25, 2011 Corpus Christi, TX. – Fajitaville announces it’s grand opening this Saturday, October 29, 2011. To celebrate it’s official opening, Fajitaville is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony and tasting at 11a.m. on Saturday, October 29.

Fajitaville started construction of its new 3-story restaurant last February 10, 2011 and nine months later graces our shores with a new dining experience beachside. The first floor Bamboo Beach Bar is open on three sides to fresh breezes and serves a scrumptious selection of order up seaside savories, salsas, fajita wraps and more. The second floor is a full-service restaurant with a mouth-watering menu that’s sure to please. Enjoy views of the USS Lexington, Texas State Aquarium and Corpus Christi Bay. Be dazzled as chefs cook fajitas, steaks, seafood and more over flaming la plancha grills. The third floor is a diamond on the Texas Riviera. This 21 and over venue is a world-class hideaway combining luxury and natural beauty. Order from a unique selection of tasty dishes and relax with your favorite cocktail, wine or beer.

Fajitaville is pleased to introduce South Texas Akaushi beef to its menu. Akaushi cattle are the only free-grazing cattle in Japan, where they are particularly valued for the amazing health benefits and high quality of beef. Over ten years ago, eight cows and three bulls were exported exclusively to South Texas. That herd of eleven has grown to over five thousand and is the only Akaushi herd outside of Japan. This beef naturally contains intense marbling throughout and a delectable buttery flavor.

Fajitaville is open for lunch and dinner daily, 11a.m – 11p.m. Visit fajitaville.com for more information. We welcome you to Fajitaville.

Ribbon cutting to be held Thursday, October 27

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (October 19, 2011) – Drivers of electric vehicles will soon be able to fill’er up at La Palmera. Or perhaps, plug it in, to be more exact, as the mall unveils its new Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 8:30 a.m.

La Palmera has partnered with the Eaton Corporation’s sales and service organization in Corpus Christi to provide the two new charging stations, which are free of charge and available during mall hours to anyone with an electric vehicle. The Pow-R-Stations are located adjacent to mall’s exterior wall in the parking area between JCPenney and Macy’s off McArdle Road, and easily found as a result of the new bright green signage and wall graphics.

Drivers will pull into one of the two designated parking spaces for charging and simply plug in one of the connectors. Each charger, which will be partially powered by solar panels, will easily fill a depleted all-electric vehicle battery in three to four hours while the owner shops.

“We are pleased to be working with the Eaton Corporation on this project and are excited about providing the free charging stations, the first and only in Corpus Christi,” said La Palmera General Manager Fred Walters. “This is exactly the kind of innovation and forward thinking that we are trying to implement here at La Palmera. It fits in perfectly with our LEED status and the green elements we have already put into place.”

The Cleveland, Ohio-based Eaton’s global operations serve diverse markets and customers in more than 150 countries helping customers to use energy more reliably, efficiently and safely.

La Palmera was recently awarded LEED® Silver certification for Core and Shell 2.0 established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), the first in the U.S. to receive the prestigious designation. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the nation’s preeminent program for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.

La Palmera is saving water, energy and more through many of its green initiatives, including the recycling of plastic, aluminum and paper products from shoppers and tenants alike. To date, the recycling efforts have saved an estimated 910 cubic yards in the landfill, the equivalent of nearly 134 football fields, and approximately 4,500 trees.

-more-

LA PALMERA

Located in Corpus Christi, Texas, La Palmera is a 1-million square foot super-regional mall with more than 100 retail and restaurant tenants including Dillard’s, JCPenney and Macy’s. Obtained in July 2008 by Trademark Property, La Palmera is the first mall to be awarded LEED® Silver for Core and Shell 2.0 established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Following a $50 million renovation, the mall features a new outdoor main entrance featuring P.F. Chang’s and Grimaldi’s, 600-seat food court with a 4,500-gallon feature aquarium and a children’s ocean-themed play area.
Convenient for customers, environmentally friendly

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (August 22, 2011) — Wells Fargo today announced that its newest Community Banking store in Corpus Christi is open to serve customers in Flour Bluff, at 1190 Waldron Road.

The new facility, relocated from 10201 S. Padre Island Dr., is more convenient for customers, featuring easier entry and exit plus a combined lobby and drive-thru. The store was built to stringent environmental standards – Wells Fargo has requested Silver LEED Certification for the facility.

The new banking store offers customers the full range of financial services, including consumer banking, small business banking, mortgage and investments. It features five in-store teller windows, three offices, six workstations, a conference room, a night drop for business customers, five drive-through lanes – one for commercial customers – and a drive-up EnvelopeFreeSM ATM.

“Wells Fargo and its predecessor companies have been serving Corpus Christi since 18XX, and we are very pleased to have this new store location as concrete evidence of our ongoing commitment to the city and its people,” said Shelly Whitlock, district manager for Wells Fargo Community Banking in the Corpus Christi region. “This investment is a direct outgrowth of our company vision – that we will meet all our customers’ financial needs and help them succeed, financially.”

About LEED Certification

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a rating system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council to encourage sustainable building practices. To receive LEED certification, Wells Fargo has adopted the following environmentally sound measures in the design and construction of the new Victoria store:

Water saving plumbing fixtures and control devices

Energy efficient light fixtures and HVAC system

Light harvesting system, adjusts indoor lighting for maximum use of available daylight

Bike racks encourage less automobile usage

Increased use of recycled content, such as porcelain tiles with 40% recycled content and insulation made from recycled cotton

Fully recyclable materials, such as counter surfaces made from recycled bottles

Sustainably grown, harvested and manufactured wood materials

Low toxicity paints and strict air-quality control practices during construction

Waste diversion during construction for less use of landfills

About Wells Fargo
